These beautiful
lamps are made from natural Rock Salt Crystal (Halite) accumulated
over millions of years in salt caverns deep under ground in the Himalayan
Mountains. (Halite is called an evaporite because it is formed by the
evaporation of saline water in partially enclosed basins. It is found in solid
underground masses, and as a dissolved solution in oceans and inland lakes.)
Halite salt crystals mined from the foothills of the Himalayas are still pure
and untouched by pollution. They provide a warm glow in stunning and beautiful
natural designs.
For centuries people have known about the ability of Salt Crystal Rock to enhance air qualities by enriching the air with "Negative Ions ", ionizing the air for benefit to humans. Salt Crystal Rock and lamps made from Salt Crystal Rocks are natural air ionizers.
When the core of halite is hollowed out, and a light bulb placed inside, the result is a release of negative ions into the atmosphere. (A ‘Negative Ion’ is an electronically charged molecule made up of oxygen. Rock Salt Lamps and Speleotherapy
Speleotherapy is a special Natural Alternative therapy for people who suffer with respiratory, asthma, allergy and immune deficiency problems and illnesses. The patients receive this therapy in Speleotherapy Sanatoriums located in the actual Rock Salt Mines in such European countries as Ukraine, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Armenia and Asia.
